The Majestic Art Cafe Mural
Located on the downstairs level of The Historic Majestic Ballroom | NW corner
{ Built in 1916 ~ Downtown Bellingham, WA }
This project has been a honor and a privilege to work on { and it's not quite done! } The moment I stepped foot into The Majestic Ballroom, I fell in love with the building
This mural is a giving back.
To the building, to the surrounding community, and to the Earth
in heartfelt appreciation
for providing me such a beautiful canvas to do my work on.
Mt. Baker + Whatcom Falls
The start of the water cycle Glacier runoff from the top of places like Mt. Baker that feed the streams and rivers
Sockeye Salmon + Amanita Mushroom + spores {happy bubbles }
The Sockeye Salmon use the rivers and streams as a waterway to and from the ocean for reproduction
The Amanita Mushroom spreads its spores as a way to raise human consciousness and awareness
These spores are represented as rainbow bubbles, radiating outward, spreading color and joy throughout the mural
Humpback Whale + Boulevard Park Board Walk
The stream empties into the ocean under the boardwalk at Boulevard Park
The whale sits in the bay soaking up all the runoff from the city as a reminder that
all water leads to the ocean
and there's more to the story ...
